I’m Frances Fox, often known as Tigs, Pink Person, or in some cases Aunty Momo. I’ve been making art for ever, with occasional lapses due to life’s adventures. There’s nothing I love more than standing in front of an easel and playing with paint (well, ok, maybe chocolate).
I’ve been on this planet nearly 60 years, and have lived through many different chapters, all varied and colourful.
Currently I’m the House Manager of an Arts Centre in central UK, in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building, surrounded by nature and a community of artists of differing styles.
My artistic influences are nature, colour, and textile design- and assorted artists such as Yayoi Kusama, David Hockney & Van Gogh.
Working mainly with acrylics I create intuitively and expressively (although you can often spot patterns and repeat motifs), all with a sense of play and fun. I’m also influenced by the vibrant colours and patterns found in Tibetan, Nepalese and Indian art and fashion.
My art makes me smile and feel uplifted- I hope it has that effect on you too.
